Conversion Solutions
ATHOS post Huisfit photo by RedCharlie Media 9489

Huisfit offers solutions for various types of conversions: lengthening hulls, adding carbon composite or aluminium superstructures, transformation of racers into luxury yachts, complete replacement of interiors.

Athos

Athos after Huisfit. Her stern has been extended by 1.25 meter / 4 feet, a seemingly modest extension. Yet the concave and convex curves of the new section called for exceptional skills in the design and build of the aluminum structure in order to fit perfectly into the aluminum hull. The stern now resembles that of a J Class, albeit one with a custom teak transom.

Broadwater

Broadwater was converted at HUISFIT by Royal Huisman. The scope of work ranges from various comfort and esthetical upgrades inside and out, to changes relating to classification requirements. Original length: 52m / 171ft, length after Huisfit: 56 m / 184ft.

Samurai

Converting the famous race boat Mari-Cha IV to a performance cruiser while preserving and honoring her history was a project that required an owner with a singular vision.

"As Mari-Cha IV, the schooner’s sole purpose was to set speed and distance records over offshore courses with all sails handled manually. Delivered in 2003 to her former owner, she accomplished her goal with such feats as breaking the transatlantic record right out of the box. But fame is fleeting; this former superstar was sold. [...] And then, from an unlikely corner — classic cars to be precise — came an interested party with a singular vision.

The boat’s history needed to be preserved and honored, he said, and the best way to do that was to show how she could be a no-compromise cruising experience." Curious? Read the article on this website: news > the warrior returns [link]
